Everest Aroma are cultivating various kind of herbs in western Tarai belt . In Kanchanpur and Kailali Districts Everest Aroma occupies hectors of community forest land in the buffer zone area of Suklafata National Park and Chure Conservation Area where any types of chemical fertilizer and insecticide is strictly prohibited by the Government authority.
Their major cultivated herbs are Mentha Arvensis , German Chamomile, Citronella, Palma Rosa, Lemongrass and Eucalyptus.
Everest Aroma have established numbers of collection centers in mountain region as well as mid hill region in Darchula, Jumla, Humla, Kalikot and Sindhupalchowk districts for the collection of wild herbs and shrubs like Valerian, Spikenard, Wintergreen, Juniper Berry, Anthopogon, Rhododendron, Artemisia, Zenthoxylum and Cypress wood.
They have multiple processing steam units in Kanchanpur, Sindhupalchowk and have 10 field distillation units located at cultivation area. Processing of herbs which are transferable like Valerian, Spikenard Zenthoxylum done at Kanchanpur multiple unit and other non transferable wild herbs at Sindhupalchok unit. For the processing of cultivated herbs we use field distillation units located at cultivation areas.

Mentha is widely found in terai region of Nepal, especially far west region. It was adopted and now cultivated for commercial purpose. It is a perennial herb, 60 cm high. Leaves simple, opposite, short stalked, oblong, 2.5-5 cm long obtusely or acutely serrated. Flowers are small and lilac in auxiliary whorls. Fruits nut lets are smooth. It's essential oil is extracted via steam distillation process.

The chemical components of peppermint oil are menthol, Mentone, 1,8-cineole, methyl acetate, methofuran, isomenthone, limonene, b-pinene, a-pinene, germacrene-d, trans-sabinene hydrate and polygene.
It is aromatic, antispasmodic, carminative, stomachic, refrigerant, stimulant, emmenogogue and diuretic.
Valerian is found in mountainous reason in Nepal. It is a perennial herd to 45 cm tall with thick, nodular and aromatic root stock. Basal leaves with ovate-heart shaped acute blade, 2.5-8 cm, and toothed or wavy-margined, long stalked; stem leaves few, small, entire or pinnate lobed. Flowers white or pink tinged, in terminal clusters, borne on erect nearly leafless stem. Fruits are small with persistent papas like calyx. This herb has been highly esteemed since medieval times and used to be call "all heal." The fragrance is rather unpleasant for most people but when mixed with other more pleasant-smelling oils it can be tolerated. It is best used in very small amounts--too much can dull the senses. The oil is produced by steam distillation of the roots of the plant.

A much branched ever green aromatic shrub about 3 m tall. Leaves simple, alternate, stalked, oblong-lanceolate to elliptic, serrate, stiffly coriaceous, dotted with glands, up to 13 cm long. Flowers small, greenish white fragrant in short auxiliary bunches. Fruits capsule and sub globose are enclosed in bluish sepals. Wintergreen essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves of Gaultheria fragrantissima Wall.

Leaves contain hyperoside (quarterin-3--glycoside, ursolic acid b-sitosterol and essential oil containing methyl salicylate (major constituents) (Husain et al. 1992 ) and (srivastava and shakya. 2003)
It is aromatic, stimulant, carminative and antiseptic. It is also used in various forms of rheumatism and applied externally in liniments in the form of a suitable ointment to counteract their irritating effects. It has germicidal action against hookworm.
